Singing in the Rain, The Musical
Heading out on an organized coach trip to theatre with a local ladies group has been a very enriching experience.
Recently we had the pleasure of watching “Singing in the Rain” live on stage in Liverpool at The Empire Theatre, and it was a magical evening. It really was.
Just a delight to watch, and with all that splashing around on stage, it was very clear to see that the cast loved it just as much as the audience – even though those in the front seats took a splattering lol.
The poor stage hands worked tirelessly during the interval to mop up the water – and then again at the end of the show!
But, as a child, I was captivated by all singing and dancing musicals. Seeing the stage performance of “Singing in the Rain” as an adult brought a whole new perspective though!
Charming in every sense, the part of the storyline that I didn’t grasp as a kid, was that “Singing in the Rain” was as much a love story than anything else – and it was charming throughout!
Every character in the stage play played their part brilliantly. Really bringing the story to life in a way that was heart warming, despite the contrasting 80 degree weather outside that day.
Culture Calendar UK Ladies Social Group absolutely loved this performance, and we would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an evening of entertainment.
With the combination of talent, and story telling was magical throughout!
Feel free to join us for the next one ladies!
