Saturday Night Fever the Musical. A stage bursting with talent!
A toe tapping, hand clapping extravaganza!
Are you “Staying Alive” for this disco inferno and musical theatre enthusiasts?
I remember the days (just) lol.
Platform shoes. Bell bottom jeans. Beehives, and from more recently the spellbinding theatre stage production of Saturday Night Fever!
I mean, “How deep is your love” for the blockbuster movie starring John Travolta back in 1977?
Saturday Night Fever the Musical ignites a fiery spectacle of dance music, energy, a pulsating heart, and the casts hip-gyrating, foot-tapping choreography music extravaganza that will have you yearning to join the dance floor!
What’s more? Our theatre seats were just 10 rows from the front.
To witness the phenomenal performance of Tony Wilcox as Tony Manero, the heir apparent to John Travolta’s iconic role. He effortlessly captured the character, the undeniable charm, the swagger, not to mention the white Saturday Night Fever suit that screams disco royalty.
There was no way that Culture Calendar Ladies could resist this stage presence, with more than a few whoop whoops as Tony Manero changes (on stage) from one snazzy outfit to the next.
An electrifying stage presence, with ladies swooning in the aisles, a perk you only get when you book excellent stalls seats.
But Saturday Night Fever isn’t just about flawless dance moves and captivating characters. Don’t underestimate the genius of the Bee Gee’s tribute act, with classic songs “More than a woman”, “Staying Alive”, and “Jive Talkin”.
Timeless classics for more than our generation don’t you think ladies? Saturday night fever was more than a show. It was an experience. By the end, not a single soul was seated, certainly not in the stalls seats anyway.
This is guaranteed a five star performance you don’t want to miss. “More” “More” came from the audience as this musical stage performance drew to a close.
I couldn’t recommend Saturday Night Fever the Musical highly enough ladies. When it comes around again, “Get your Boogie Shoes on” because “You should be dancin – yeah”.
