The much loved cast and Royal Court Theatre is a firm favourite with Culture Calendar Members. Like many, we return regularly to enjoy their Liverpool themed performances.
Long before the Royal Court Theatre (Grade II Listed) opened its doors in 1938, Cookes Amphitheatre of Arts occupied this site from 1826.
A fire destroyed the original building 1933, and it was 5 years before The Royal Court as we know it now opened.
