Let me do this a little bit differently and tell you about my first encounter with Andre Rieu and his Orchestra!

I’ll be honest!  It wasn’t on my tick list!  Classical music?  Yes, I love Andrea Bocelli, but what to expect from Andre Rieu …. I had no idea.

Well, I took the leap and booked – and my 2024 experience of Andre Rieu was a delight!  Not what I was expecting at all.   What an engaged audience in this packed stadium ladies!

As a Member of Culture Calendar Ladies, I have had the privilege of attending some truly unforgettable events, and Andre Rieu Live was / is stage magic!

Such an extravagant performance.  The concert, and guests performers were nothing short of fabulous!  A stage awash with vibrant colours, and the most talented musicians.  WOW!

The anticipation was palpable.   André Rieu, with his 60-member Johann Strauss Orchestra and a host of international soloists, transported us to a world of elegance and romance.

I didn’t quite realize – but at one point I remember holding my breath as Andre conducted the orchestra into The Blue Danube!   Writing about it now gives me goosebumps!  You had to be there to experience the magic!   The Johann Strauss 60 piece orchestra was simply breathtaking ladies!  Simply breathtaking!   I dare you to try it!

From the iconic waltzes to the soaring arias, every note was a masterpiece. The energy in the concert hall was infectious, as the audience swayed and sang along to the familiar tunes. It was a truly magical experience that I’ll never forget.   Check out Culture Calendar UK TikTok Page for more!

What a buzz of contentment as we sadly had to leave the arena that night.  So much more than a concert – it was a cultural injection.  I have never experienced anything quite like it!

If you’re a fan of classical music or simply looking for an unforgettable evening, I highly recommend experiencing the magic of André Rieu. With his upcoming tour in 2025, celebrating 200 years of Johann Strauss, I feel certain that like the many millions before us – you will undoubtedly fall under his spell.
