Calling all Downton Abbey enthusiasts …. welcome to Highclere Castle at Christmas Time.

Highclere Castle is the home to the 8th Earl Count, and Countess of Carnarvon.

…. Owners of the real Downton Abbey, and its said that all of the roles of the household played in Downton Abbey still exist today, with many servants.

The property is estimated as being worth more than $400 million, and when you take a look at just some of the pictures available …. its no wonder why!

So … the burning question is dear Culture Calendar Members … Would you like to visit at Christmas time ?

This trip would mean setting off at 7am to arrive approximately mid day.

We would have an hour and a half tour of the property.

Afternoon Tea in the Christmas Marquee.

An opportunity to explore the grounds, gardens and gift shop

And a signed copy of Lady Carnarvon’s book “Christmas at Highclere”

Coach would depart approximately 4.30pm, to arrive at our last drop off point approximately 9pm depending on traffic!

We estimate this round trip to be approximately 15 hours from first pick up to last drop off.

We may open up this event for members to invite a +1 after all of the membership demand has been satisfied.
