Fine Dining – The restaurant with a view
There’s no place like home!
As we took the lift to the 34 floor, and enter the gorgeous panoramic view, I couldn’t help feel a little disappointed at the fact, that having pre-booked (last year) what I believe to be amongst the best city views in the restaurant ….
The weather was so drab, hazy, and grey, the view was not what I had hoped.
But it wasn’t long before we ordered “That’s Amore” cocktail, with Orange Gin and Amaretto, and we settled into our afternoon tea.
From sitting down to our warm (newly ironed) table cloth, to chatting away about something and nothing, Culture Calendar Ladies social group felt spoilt!
When the waiter returned a while later, to check that everything was as it should be …. the only thing left to do was order another cocktail
We took every advantage of what turned out to be a 3-4 hour sitting, because as daylight turned to nightlight, our view had become everything we had hoped for, and more!
The light had faded, and the city of Liverpool was shining bright with lights from the iconic Pier Head, Royal Liver Building, The Albert Dock, The Docklands, and the Woodside Ferry Terminal.
Before we knew it, our bill had arrived, and like a scene from the Wizard of Oz, it was time for Dorothy to click those heels together and say “Theres no place like home” … “Theres no place like home”
