Ian Waite & Vincent Simone – Act Two

Did you miss this mid week treat at The Atkinson Theatre in Southport when Culture Calendar Ladies attended the captivating performance of Strictly Ballroom.

The show featured the talented duo of Ian Waite and Vincent Simone, known for their dynamic Strictly Ballroom performances and infectious chemistry.

From the moment the curtain rose, it was evident that the unshakeable bond of friendship and humor on stage between Ian and Vincent is what makes them such a likable duo.

Vincent’s cheeky personality shone through from the start, while Ian played a more sensible role.

However, it wasn’t long before we realized that keeping a straight face was not in their repertoire, as Vincent’s timing and Ian’s efforts to keep him on track provided us all with plenty of laughs.

The duo’s physical differences, with Ian towering over Vincent, added another layer of humor to their Strictly dance routine, and interactions.

Vincent’s adoration for Ian was palpable, and Ian’s attempts to help his dancing partner through missteps and quick step dance difficulties created plenty of moments of fun and laughter.

The live performance was a delight, and both Ian and Vincent’s awareness of the young fans in the front row ensured that their dance performance in Act Two remained age appropriate and enjoyable throughout.

Vincent Simone’s Argentine Tango was a highlight of the evening. His effortless grace and passion made the performance pretty captivating.

The duo also inviting talented performers: Faye Huddleston, Despina Violari, and Amelia Adams to join them in Strictly Act Two, which highlighted the willingness to showcase others, and shine a light on others talent.

The costumes and choreography were everything you would expect from a “Strictly Final,” with the dancers gliding across the stage with elegance and precision.

However, it was the duo’s mischievous personalities that truly set them apart, making the show a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
