Home Baked The Musical was about a struggling bakery in the Anfield Area of Liverpool which had been run by a lady overdue retirement. She was more than ready to hand the keys over to the next generation, just as a local counsellor arrives with a demolition order.
The Local Liverpool Community take it upon themselves to smarten the place up a little. “A fresh lick of paint”. “We will work to an age old recipe”. “Lets get those punters queuing at the door again”.
The lovely Eithne Browne has a small part as the shop owner, but after a make over reappears later on as an accountant.
Knowing a bit of talent when she see’s it, Eithne is keen to make a move (quite literally), as local Counsellor (Liam Tobin) makes another appearance. There’s more than just pies cooking in Homebaked, The Musical, and it ain’t in no kitchen!
Locals and regulars at The Royal Court Liverpool, Culture Calendar loved it. A great comedy musical theatre production, geared entirely to a Liverpool audience.
Pauline Daniels, actress and comedienne also starred. Sir Ken Dodd, OBE described Pauline as a “Joyous Performer”.
