A fashion frenzy with friends
We stepped into a world of glamour, fashion, and charity when attending the Grand Charity Ball at The Shakespeare North Playhouse Theatre, Prescot,. What an absolute delight to see that every seat was taken in the foyer, which was transformed into the catwalk, with some people standing.
A celebration of style, community spirit, and supporting two fantastic causes in the process.
The First Step. A Charity who is dedicated to helping survivors of domestic abuse, and the Menopause Cafes which provides a supportive space for women suffering with menopausal symptoms.
The atmosphere at The Shakespeare North Theatre was tangible, with so many people eager to give, and support two worthy charities. Whether it was live music, entertainment, singing, or volunteers just helping where they could, this charity night was definitely a community effort lead by “Want That Dress” Boutique Prescot.
Culture Calendar Ladies took their front row seats with a birds eye view of the catwalk, which was in the main foyer of The Shakespeare North Playhouse Theatre, and were there to witness the transformation of local women into catwalk queens! You could not help but smile and be happy for them. This catwalk opportunity was very clearly such an empowering and confidence building experience for them too!
The added beauty was that each fashion model ranged from 18 to 70. A mother and daughter walking down the catwalk together, and let me tell you that it was the mother strutting her stuff, and dancing to the music that got all the cheers and applause for the sheer fun of it! Ofcourse, both Mother and Daughter looked absolutely amazing too. It was lovely to see.
This little Prescot boutique inspires women of all shapes and sizes to celebrate themselves, dress to the nines, be proud and free with vibrantly coloured clothing from head to toe. We loved this event so much. It was so much fun. We met lots of beautiful women, and enjoyed a few cheeky glasses of wine too!
Want That Dress Boutique did a fantastic job of raising £2000 collectively for two very worthy local charities. Feel free to check out Culture Calendars video on TikTok which may have captured the celebration of women, friendship, fun, community, and charity.
