Alpine Ball
Aintree Racecourse was transformed for the Alpine Christmas Ball instead of Race goers for the evening.
The stage and starlit marquee was set under a starlit canopy and winter wonderland for our Christmas Alpine Ball. The iconic Grand National Venue, world famous for the Grand National Steeple Race was flooded with magical star lights that literally shimmered like diamonds in the night.
Dressed to the nines, we were in good company as so many had dressed for the occasion in their stunning ball gowns, black tie suits, and we were truly immersed in a night of opulence and excitement, as the live entertainment, and numerous performers got under way with their act.
Such anticipation as we sat with friends, waiting for what was described as world class entertainment, sumptuous four course dining, served piping hot, and with military precision.
As the night deepened, the marquee erupted into a kaleidoscope of lights and sound. World-class performers took to the stage, delivering truly entertaining acts, that left us thirsty for the next performance. We loved the heart pounding music of our era, but no dancing around your handbags on this night, as the dance floor became alive with glamour.
But for those seeking a break from the dance floor, there were plenty of distractions. The thrill of the dodgems, a visit to the casino, or champagne bar. As the clock struck one, it was time to fetch our cloaks from the cloak room, and reluctantly cross the red carpet welcome that we had received just hours before as we got ready to board our luxury coach.
This Alpine Christmas Ball was more than just a party; it was such a memory that we will hold for the years to come.
